“Let’s Sing Out” with Joni Anderson (’65, ’66)

A real bale of prairie hay right here: variety show Let’s Sing Out recorded at the University of Manitoba in ’65 and Laurentian University in Sudbury ’66. Featured musicians include Jimmy Driftwood (“Well in 1814 we took a little trip..”), The Chapins (with Harry!), Dave Van Ronk and host Oscar Brand. Also included is a shy-looking Toon Towner named Joni Anderson. We know her now as Joni Mitchell. She appears in both recordings; what a difference a year between ’em makes.
